Description

This is a row of three houses located on the north side of Chester Square, dating from the mid-19th century. The houses are built of stucco and are four storeys high, with each house originally designed to have two windows across its width. The ground floor features channelling and pilaster strips. The doorways are round-headed and surrounded by Doric pilasters. A cornice runs above the ground floor. The windows on the ground floor are architraved, while those on the first floor have pediments, and those on the second floor are corniced. Balconies are positioned in front of the first-floor windows. The first-floor windows are French casements, while the others are sash windows, some with margin glazing. A dentil cornice sits above the third floor. On the right side of number 37 are rusticated quoins.
