Description
No. 33 King Street is a terrace house and shop that was rebuilt around 1860-1870. It features stucco exterior and a slate roof, showcasing Italianate architectural details. The building stands four storeys tall and is two windows wide. The ground floor has a shop front with a display window and a doorway on the right, which was altered in the mid-20th century. This shop front is framed by pilasters that support an entablature with an inswept frieze. The upper floors have architraved recessed sash windows with semicircular arched heads. The first-floor windows have cornices supported by console brackets, while the second-floor windows feature segmental pediments with consoles. The third-floor windows are segmental arched. Additional architectural elements include sill courses, a projecting moulded cornice, and a blocking course. This building is included in the listing for its group interest.
