Description
Numbers 7-12 and The Bridge House form a terrace and public house dating from 1850-55. The building is constructed of brick, with a stucco finish and channelling to the ground floor. It rises three storeys plus a basement. The terrace comprises three two-bay blocks, interspersed with recessed linking entrance wings of two bays, and a further single recessed bay at each end. The Bridge House has a three-bay return to Delamere Terrace, featuring a projecting porch. Pilaster screens with low balustrades define the recessed wings, each containing two round-arched entrances with panelled doors and fanlights. The ground floor windows are round-arched sashes with glazing bars, and radial glazing in the heads. Projecting wings have paired shallow bows with tripartite sashes and glazing bars. A continuous dentilled cornice runs above the first floor. The projecting wings feature casements in architraves, topped by pediments on consoles, above which are sashes with glazing bars and architraves. Quoins, a sill band, and a modillion cornice are also present. The recessed bays feature first-floor round-arched casements in architraves, with a central round-arched niche in each wing. A further modillion cornice tops this level. Recessed second-floor windows are sashes within architraves, followed by a further cornice.
