Description

TQ 2979 NE CITY OF WESTMINSTER OLD QUEEN STREET, SW1 91/21 (south side) No 43 G.V. II End of terrace town house with shop. Early C19 rebuild. Yellow stock brick, slate roof. 3 storeys and dormered mansard. 3 window wide front following curve of corner. Ground floor has mid to later C19 shop front with panelled and glazed door and large glazing bar windows framed by panelled stucco pilaster and entablature-fascia with scroll brackets. Recessed sashes, glazing bars intact to 2nd floor, under flat gauged arches. Parapet with coping. Original dormers, one retaining Yorkshire casements. Included for group value on prominent corner at junction of Old Queen Street and Queen Anne's Gate.
