Description
This is an early 19th-century terrace of houses on the southwest side of Molyneux Street, City of Westminster. The buildings are constructed of brown brick, with a stucco ground floor at numbers 16, 17, and 22. Later Welsh slate mansard roofs top the buildings, except for numbers 16 and 17. The terrace is three storeys high with basements and dormers. Most properties have two bays, although numbers 18 and 19 have three. Numbers 21 and 22 feature doors and sash windows set within round-arched recesses. Number 23 has a 19th-century shop front. Numbers 18 to 20 have round-arched entrances with sashes set under gauged brick arches. Numbers 16 and 17 have a round-arched entrance with a fanlight and a sash window with glazing bars. A stucco band marks the first floor. The sash windows are set under flat, gauged brick arches; number 16 has balconies to its first-floor windows. The first-floor windows of numbers 18 to 20 have been reduced in height. Iron basement railings are present.
