Description
No. 45 New Cavendish Street is a terraced house with an early shop, built around 1820, possibly as a recasing of a building from the 1770s. The exterior is faced with stucco and features a concealed slate roof. The building has four storeys and a basement, and it is three windows wide. The ground floor includes an early 19th-century wooden shop front with a doorway to the right, framed by Ionic columns that support an entablature-fascia with a dentil cornice. The upper floors have recessed sash windows set in architraves, with cornices on the first and second floors. The building is topped with a crowning cornice and blocking course, and there are cast iron area railings.
