Description

These artisans' dwellings, known as Lisson Cottages, were built in 1855, as indicated by a plaque. They are located on the west side of Lisson Grove, in the City of Westminster. The cottages are constructed from gault brick, with a low-pitched slate roof. The group comprises numbers 1 to 18, which are built consecutively. Numbers 1 to 12 are arranged as a six-window-wide block containing three entrance doors, each with plaques above. Numbers 13 to 18 are slightly set back to the left, forming a two-window-wide block with one entrance door. The windows are square-headed, and the entrance doors have segmental heads with stucco architraves. A cast iron lamp bracket is attached to the wall of number 12.
