Description

TQ 2881 NE CITY OF WESTMINSTER WEYMOUTH STREET, Wl 45/24 North side) 5.2.70 No 12 G.V. II Terraced town house, c1780 Portland Estate development associated with the Adam Brothers' Portland Place. Stock brick with rusticated stucco ground floor; slate roof. 4 storeys and dormered mansard, on basement. 3-window wide astylar front. Semicircular arched doorway to left with stucco architrave surround; panelled door with Ionic column jambs and cornice-doorhead under patterned fanlight. Recessed sashes, under flat gauged arches to upper floors. Plat band over ground floor. Parapet with coping. Geometric patterned cast iron balcony across 1st floor. Interior retains some plasterwork and detailing in Adam manner, geometrical staircase with wrought iron balustrade; etc.
