Description

A mid-19th century terrace of buildings located on the south-east side of Gloucester Square. The terrace is constructed of brick, with a stucco finish, and the ground floor is channelled. It originally comprised a symmetrical 5-bay central range with attic, flanked by 6-bay wings, and a former 3-bay range with its own attic on the left. The terrace has 4 storeys, plus a basement and an attic to parts of the building. Attached composite columns are present on the 5-bay range, while pilasters feature on the 3-bay range. The terrace has baseless Doric projecting porches, and a metope and triglyph frieze. The windows are primarily sash windows, with casement windows to the 5-bay range, which are flanked by pilasters. Upper floors feature sash windows with glazing bars, set within architraves, with iron balconies to some. A modillion cornice runs along the top of the building. Iron basement railings are also present. A first-floor iron balcony is a notable feature.
