Description
St Mary's Church of England Primary School, dated 1855 on a centrally placed plaque, is a symmetrical two-storey building designed to resemble a pair of houses. It is six bays wide and constructed of yellow stock brick with a hipped slate roof. On the ground floor, each entrance is located at the center of three bays and features a square fanlight with a gauged flat arch above. Both the ground and first floor windows also have gauged flat arches. A brick bandcourse separates the two storeys. The deep eaves are supported by wooden blocks, and the chimney stacks have oversailing courses. A low boundary wall with stone coping supports a railing with arrowhead bars.
