Description
Devonshire House, located at 44 Vicarage Crescent, is an early 18th-century building that has undergone some alterations. It stands three stories high with dormers and features five bays. The structure is made of brick with a stuccoed front and has an enriched modillion eaves cornice. The windows are near-flush framed, and there are balconies at the first floor. The porch is supported by fluted columns, and there is an iron balcony railing above it. The property is enhanced by a good wrought iron gate with scrolled standards and an overthrow, along with railings that have panels, all set on a low forecourt wall. Inside, the house retains original panelling and a staircase with twisted balusters.
