Description
The White Lion Hotel public house, located at 14 Putney High Street, was built in 1887. This four-storey building features a symmetrical three-bay design and dormers. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and has a French pavilion slate roof adorned with elaborate iron cresting. The ground floor has been altered, while the upper floors showcase a series of pilaster orders. The first and second floors include a two-storey canted bay with stone balconies and iron balustrades. The third floor features a pedimented centre bay, and the fourth floor has a tripartite centre window topped with a dated blocking and a stone figure of a lion passant.
