Description

St Peter's Church Sunday School, also known as St Peter's Social Club, was built in 1839 as St Peter's Commercial School by the Church of England for the education of poor children. It is one of the earliest examples of this type of school and the first in the East End of London. The building features grey brick and white stucco in a Norman style with a gabled design. It has two storeys and three bays, with semi-circular stucco architraves to the windows and doors, except for the central door. Brick pilasters are located between the bays.
