Description
St. Peter's Sunday School is a district national parish school, now serving as a Sunday school, built in 1832. The building is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. It is designed in the Gothic Revival style and is a single storey in height.
The gable facing the road has three lancet windows, each with a hoodmould that includes foliated carved stops. There are corner pilasters, and the gable is coped with kneelers. The left-hand side of the building has a plinth and seven bays of windows that are covered by a stepped continuous hoodmould. The central bay features a pointed-arched window with a chamfered surround, flanked by shields displaying the date. The other bays contain Tudor-arched windows, also with chamfered surrounds. A corbel table shaped like shields runs along the top.
The right-hand side mirrors the left, with the central bay's shields carved with heraldic motifs topped by crowns. The first and sixth bays on this side have Tudor-arched doorways.
