Description

The Churchyard War Memorial at the Church of St Anne's is a war memorial dedicated to the First World War, built after 1918. It features a cruciform plan and is made of white stone. The memorial is accessed by four steps with balustrades on each side. At the center of the cross is a plinth made of white stone, which has a bronze pictorial panel in low relief and is topped with a bronze figure of Christ in a blessing pose.

The memorial is part of a group that includes the garden wall to the former St Anne's Rectory, Limehouse Town Hall, St Anne's Parish Church, the churchyard wall, railings, gates, gate piers, and other nearby buildings on Newell Street.
