Description

The Cockney Eel and Pie Shop is a late 18th century to early 19th century building located on Commercial Road. It features a stucco facade with a cornice and blocking course, rising three storeys. The top floor has one sash window, while the second floor includes a semi-circular stuccoed bay with two sash windows, also featuring a cornice, blocking course, and an iron railing above. The shop front has been advanced and altered in the late 19th to early 20th century for the Cockney Eel and Pie Shop. This building, along with Nos 795 to 805 (odd) and the Star of the East Public House, forms a group with the lamp standards in front of the Star of the East Public House.
