Description

This is an early 19th-century building on the south side of Montague Place. Constructed of yellow stock brick, it features a slate mansard roof with dormers. The building is three storeys high, plus a basement. It has two windows with plain reveals and sash windows; the ground and first-floor sashes are set within arches. The glazing bars have been lost. A round-headed doorway is topped with a fanlight, and contains a panelled door. The building forms a group with numbers 5 to 11 (consecutive) Montague Place, numbers 1-3 and 24 Bazely Street, as well as numbers 45 to 51 (odd) on Montague Place, the Greenwich Pensioner Public House on Bazely Street, the gate piers to the Children's Playground, All Saints' Rectory on Newby Place, and All Saints' with St Frideswide Church, its churchyard walls and gate piers, located on East India Dock Road.
