Description
The Greenwich Pensioner Public House is a building from the first half of the 19th century, constructed of stock brick with a stuccoed cornice and parapet. The roof is not visible. It stands two storeys tall and features three windows set in large brick arches. The windows are sash style with painted reveals and vertical glazing bars only. The ground floor facade is tiled and includes an entablature with a cornice and carved end stops. A modern lamp is mounted on an original iron bracket above the central door.
The Greenwich Pensioner Public House, along with Nos 45 to 51 (odd), forms a group with All Saints' Church with St Frideswide, the churchyard walls and gate piers, East India Dock Road, the gate piers to the Children's Playground and All Saints Rectory, Newby Place, and Nos 5 to 11 (consecutive) Mountague Place, and Nos 1-3, 24 Bazely Street.
