Description

The Stone Alcove, located on the east side of Southern Drive and southwest of Cadogan Gate in Victoria Park, was removed from the parapet of Old London Bridge and erected here around 1860. It features a round arched limestone alcove with an architrave that includes a keystone and flanking balusters. The Stone Alcove, along with Morpeth Lodge, forms a group with the consecutive properties numbered 70 to 79, 81 to 102, and 105 to 128 on Cadogan Terrace.
