Description
The Post Office pillar box at the west corner of Danesdale Road was built between 1866 and 1876, designed by J W Penfold. It is a hexagonal pillar box featuring a high, roll-moulded plinth, a ball cornice, and a raised ogee top adorned with a leaf pattern and topped with a pine-cone finial.
