Description
27 Campbell Road is an early 19th-century building constructed of stock brick. It features a large hipped slate roof with very wide, bracketed eaves soffits. The building is two storeys tall, with dormers and stuccoed basements. There are three sash windows; the first-floor windows are flat-headed and set in arched recesses, while the ground-floor windows are part of a double arched feature. The building has string courses at the first-floor sill and impost heights. The doorcases are adorned with stucco panelled pilasters, a cornice hood, and an entablature.
This property is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 44 (even) and Nos 1 to 27 (odd) on Campbell Road, as well as Nos 35 to 49 (consecutive) on Arnold Road and Nos 1 to 25 (consecutive) on Tomlins Grove.
