Description

Numbers 10-16 are a row of four terraced houses built in the early 19th century, with number 12 being refaced in the late 19th century. The houses are constructed of yellow stock brick, with number 10 featuring a painted ground floor. Number 12 is stuccoed and has a channelled basement, ground, and first floor. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with two windows on each floor.

Number 10 has a doorcase with pilasters that support a reeded head, a patterned fanlight, and is accessed by steps. It features a round-arched ground floor window with 20th-century glazing, while the upper floors have gauged brick flat arches above recessed sash windows. A parapet crowns the building.

Number 12's entrance includes a keystone and a projecting cornice hood supported by enriched brackets, extending across a plate glass shop window and ending with a similar bracket support. The doorway has a fanlight and a panelled door, also approached by steps. The first floor has casement windows set in basher-arched recesses with enriched surrounds and a sill band featuring scallop-shell stops at the corners. It has a cornice and a blocking course with enriched bracket stops.

Numbers 14 and 16 have round-arched entrances accessed by steps, with doorways that include fanlights and later doors. The ground floor features round-arched sash windows, and the upper floors have gauged brick flat arches and recessed sash windows, topped with parapets. The interiors of all the houses are believed to retain some original features. There are attached cast iron railings with spearhead finials, except for number 12, which has fleur-de-lis finials for its areas.
