Description

Numbers 62-70 and attached railings to numbers 62-66 form a group of five houses, part of a terrace, dating from the early 19th century, with some later rebuilding. The houses are constructed of brick, with number 70 having a rendered facade. They feature coped parapets. Numbers 62 and 64 are three storeys and have a basement, while numbers 66-70 are four storeys and similarly have a basement. Each house has two bays, with two windows and a door on the ground floor, except for number 64, which has three bays and three openings to each floor. The ground-floor openings are round-headed, set within round-arched recesses with a stucco band at the spring. The doors are six-panelled, with pilaster jambs, panelled reveals and soffits, corniced heads, and fanlights with Gothic glazing bars, with the exception of number 70. The sash windows have glazing bars, the ground-floor windows being Gothic in style. Upper floor windows have flat, gauged-brick arches. The interior was not inspected. Area railings are present to numbers 62-66.
