Description

This is a mid-19th century house, recently restored, located on Consort Road in Southwark. The brickwork is in Flemish bond, with double and triple headers in some areas. The roof is slate, with deep bracketed eaves, and a gable facing forward. A two-story cross wing is set to the left rear. The front facade features a single-story entrance porch to the left, with a brick parapet and dentil cornice. There is a three-window arrangement across the front. All windows are flat-arched. The entrance has a flush architrave and cornice, with the jambs and lintel treated as a moulded architrave. The ground-floor windows have architraves and cornices, with six-pane sashes and projecting sills with gauged brick lintels. The first-floor windows feature fretted architraves and ornamental cresting. Stacks are located to the rear of the cross gable. A pair of stacks are visible on the right return, with one first-floor window between them. The interior has not been inspected. The house forms a group with numbers 5 to 13 (odd) on the same street.
