Description
This is a row of seven houses known as the Beer and Wine Trade Homes, built between 1852 and 1853 by William Webbe. They are constructed from yellow brick with stone dressings and feature a high-pitched slate roof with tall chimneys, all designed in a Gothic style. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of nine bays, with the central and outer bays having gabled roofs. The central three-bay section projects slightly, with the middle bay projecting further and supported by diagonal buttresses and chimneys at the outer corners. The entrance features a moulded Gothic surround with a recessed door, and there are other Gothic doors with similar but slightly smaller surrounds. The windows are mullioned and transomed, with alternating blocks around their surrounds. The interior has not been inspected.
