Description

The water pump located in front of Beeston's Gift Almshouses in Southwark dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and features an octagonal shaft with panels and a cusped ogee cap. The pump handle is intact, and the design reflects the Gothic Revival style. This pump is included in the listing for its group value with the almshouses.
