Description
The Elms is a villa built around 1842. It is constructed of stucco and features a low-pitched, hipped slate roof supported by coupled brackets at the eaves. The building has two storeys and three bays. At the front, there is a central porch topped with a cornice hood that rests on moulded brackets. The ground-floor windows are tripartite sash windows with moulded architraves, while the first-floor sash windows have glazing bars. The central first-floor window has a moulded architrave and a decorative blind box, while the outer two windows are set in plain reveals. The interior has not been inspected. Originally, the villa was known as Sydney Cottage.
