Description

This is a terrace of ten houses, built around 1840, located on Furley Road, Southwark. The houses are constructed of yellow brick with low-pitched slate roofs; numbers 80 to 90 have tile sections and overhanging timber eaves. Each house has two storeys and three bays. The door openings are distinguished by timber brackets supporting a frieze and pediment, though these are missing from numbers 80 and 90. The recessed doors are flanked by free-standing Doric columns supporting a cornice head, and feature oblong fanlights, with some original doors remaining. Sash windows with glazing bars are set within gauged, flat brick arches in giant, segmental-headed recesses on both floors. The interiors have not been inspected.
