Description
This is a terrace of eight houses built between 1851 and 1852. The houses are made of yellow brick with stucco dressings and feature stucco banded rustication on the ground floor. They stand three storeys tall with a basement, each house having two bays. The ground floor has round-arched door and window openings with voussoirs, and steps leading up to the doors, which have plain fanlights. The doors of Nos 34-40 are topped with moulded cornice heads. The ground-floor sash windows have margin lights set in plain reveals, accompanied by cast-iron guards over their projecting sills. The first-floor features casement windows with flat stucco surrounds and console bracketed cornices topped with segmental pediments. The second-floor sash windows, also with margin lights, have stucco architraves and bracketed sills. The interior has not been inspected. Additionally, there are cast-iron handrails attached to the terrace. The Lord Nelson Public House and Nos 16-64 (even) nearby form a group with these houses.
