Description
26 Regents Bridge Gardens is a former lodge that has been converted into a house and offices. It was built around 1810 and originally served as the lodge for the Beaufoy Vinegar works. The building features rusticated limestone and stock brick with a flat roof. It is a single-storey structure with a three-bay loggia supported by cast iron columns, which are matched by stone pilasters on the main building. Above the former entrance, there are stone arms of the Beaufoy family. Each column is topped with a plain frieze and a stone wreath. The loggia includes a moulded doorcase and a flanking window, with a replaced glazed door and a horned sash window. The side of the building has an inserted doorway in what was once a moulded window opening. There is a round arched entrance with an embellished keystone and a moulded impost band, leading to a six-panelled door with a round arched head. A wrought iron lampholder is attached to the roof. To the right, there is a two-bay single-storey brick wing that was restored in the 1980s.
