Description
41, 42, and 43 Hanover Gardens is a mid-19th century building located on the east side of Hanover Gardens in SE11. The structure is three storeys tall with a basement and features two windows on each floor. It is constructed of stock brick, with a painted basement. The building has stucco bands, a frieze, and a cornice at the second floor cills, as well as a top frieze cornice and a blocking course. The windows are sash style, mostly with margin lights, and are set under gauged brick arches, which are segmental on the ground floor. Access to the doors, which have two or four panels, is via five steps that are flanked by wrought iron handrails. The area is enclosed by cast iron spearhead railings.
