Description

The tomb of Amelia Jane Richman, who died in 1837, is a pedestal tomb located in Kensal Green Cemetery. It features a Portland stone urn on a square pedestal, which has sunken panels on each side of the base. The urn is draped and gadrooned, and it is signed by the mason Hemmens from Regent Street. The tomb is enclosed by good quality spear-headed cast iron railings and retains extensive remains of whitewash. This tomb is an exceptionally well-preserved example of the conventional Neo-classical style.
