Description

Numbers 8 to 24 (even) and the balustrade linking number 24 to number 41 form a terrace of dwelling houses dating to approximately 1830. The buildings are stuccoed and display a symmetrical design. They comprise three storeys plus an attic, with a basement level beneath. Each house has two windows. The ground floor is channelled, and the doorways are pilastered. Cast iron balconies with a bombe (rounded) shape are present on the ground and first floors of the windows. A dentil cornice and blocking course run along the top of the facade. The end houses and the central three houses (numbers 14, 16, and 18) project forward, featuring rusticated quoins.
