Description

Number 17 Kensington Square is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is three stories tall, plus an attic, and features five windows, all finished in stucco. The doorway is positioned to the left of the center and has a flat entablature supported by carved consoles. The windows are surrounded by moulded frames, and there is a decorative band at the first-floor level, along with a parapet at the top. The interior includes a fine staircase. Notably, the musician Hubert Parry, who lived from 1848 to 1918, resided here, as indicated by a tablet from the London County Council. This house is one of a pair with number 18.
