Description
Nos 68-86 Cromwell Road is a stuccoed terrace of houses built in the mid to late 19th century. The terrace stands five storeys tall with a basement and features three windows on each upper floor. Each house has coupled Corinthian porches and canted bay windows on the ground, first, and second floors. The first floor includes balustraded balconies, and there are pediments above the center windows on the first floor. A cornice runs above the third floor, topped by a main cornice with a rich frieze above the top floor. The terrace is enclosed by cast iron area railings. This listing also includes No 40 Queens Gate Gardens, which is similar in style but has five storeys, four windows wide, and a canted bay window only on the ground floor. This terrace is part of a group with Nos 54-66 and Nos 59-79 odd Cromwell Road.
