Description

This is a stuccoed terrace of six to fourteen Cromwell Place, SW7, built in the mid-19th century. The terrace is four storeys high, with an attic and basement. Each property has three windows. A prominent feature is the Doric porch that projects forward from each building. A cast iron balcony, shaped like a bombe (a rounded swelling), extends over the porches on the first floor. The central window on the first floor is topped with a pediment. The building has a decorative dentil cornice above the third floor and a parapet. A Mansard roof with dormers is present. Cast iron area railings run along the front. The terrace is in good, unspoiled condition and is part of the original layout of Cromwell Place.
