Description

This is a terraced property comprising four houses, built around 1914 by F E Williams. The houses are constructed of red brick with a tiled roof and tall brick chimney stacks, each house featuring two dormers.

The houses are two storeys and attics in height. The outer bays have entrances framed by thin brick rustication blocks, topped with gauged brick flat arches and keystones. A central entrance is flanked by two round-arched entrances with balustered gates. The ground floor windows are five-light units with leaded diamond pane glazing, with the exception of No.15, which has later 20th-century glazing. The first floor has canted oriel windows in a Venetian style, with small leaded panes, a narrow brick apron, a base cornice, and a modillion cornice that runs across the front of the building above the windows. Raised brick panels are situated between the windows.

No.13 was the home of author A.A. Milne, as marked by a blue plaque.
