Description
42-45 Wilton Square are a group of terraced houses built between 1851 and 1852, developed by Edward Rowland and Thomas Evans. They are constructed of yellow brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern, with stucco detailing. The roof is hidden by the parapet. The houses are two storeys high, with a basement, and have two windows on each floor. The basement is stuccoed with a moulded band. Steps lead to a flat-arched entrance featuring pilasters, a pediment supported by consoles, and an overlight. All windows have segmental arches and moulded stucco architraves. A sill band runs along the first floor. A stucco cornice and blocking course finish the facade. Party wall stacks are present. Original cast-iron railings are attached to the area.
