Description
No. 127 Hanley Road is a house and shop from the early 19th century that has undergone some alterations. It is built of yellow stock brick, with the ground floor being colourwashed, and features a slate mansard roof along with brick ridge and side stacks. The building is situated on a corner site and consists of two storeys plus an attic.
The façade facing Hanley Road has a two-window range, with one window on the canted corner and another on Crouch Hill. The windows are 1/1 sashes set beneath gauged brick lintels that have stucco keystones and shoulders. The mansard roof also features similar sashes above a prominent moulded cornice. The ground floor includes a projecting shop front supported by brackets and cornices, with doors located on the corner and along Hanley Road. The building adjoins Nos. 1 and 3 Crouch Hill.
