Description

This is a row of three terraced houses, numbers 91 to 95, dating to approximately 1830, located on Cloudesley Road in Islington. The houses are constructed of stucco and yellow brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern. Numbers 91 and 93 have a parapet concealing the roof, while number 95 has a roof of Welsh slate. Number 95 also features dormers within a mansard roof. Each house has a two-window arrangement and features 6/6 sash windows. Numbers 91 and 93 have flat-arched entrances, with the ground floors finished in plain stucco. The first-floor windows of number 91 have slightly cambered arches with original sash windows, while the windows of number 93 have flat brick arches and original sash windows, except for a 2/2 sash window on the ground floor. Number 95 is distinguished by banded rustication on the ground floor, a round-arched entrance with a fanlight, a round-arched window on the ground floor, flat-arched windows to the first and second floors, and flat-arched dormers in the mansard roof. The front of number 95 appears to be a complete reconstruction. The properties include attached railings.
