Description
Numbers 21 and 22 Compton Terrace are a pair of terraced houses built between 1827 and 1831 as part of a development by Henry Flower and Samuel Kell. The houses are of four storeys over a basement, each with three windows. The ground floor and basement are stuccoed, with the ground floor featuring banded rustication. The entrances have flat arches with fanlights, and retain their original double-panelled doors. The windows above have flat arches constructed with gauged brick, while a sill band and continuous cast-iron balconies run along the first floor. Original window glazing bars remain. The houses are topped with a parapet. The area railings have spearhead and urn finials and include basement overthrows.
