Description

This is a row of three model cottages built in 1858. A legend indicating this date is carved into large stones in the south gable. Each cottage is two storeys high with two windows. The cottages are constructed of stock brick with red brick dressings. They have high-pitched slated roofs with eaves broken by six tall, narrow gables above the first-floor windows. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. Gabled porches are located in the centre and on the returns, featuring doors in Tudor arches and high-relief Tudor portraits in panels above. These cottages are listed for their group value and curiosity value, and they form a group with St Ann's Church School and the Church of St Ann and its walls, located on St Ann's Road.
