Description
No 324 on Old Street is an early to mid-19th century Congregational chapel that is now used for other purposes. The building is two storeys high and features three windows on the front. It is constructed of stock brick and has a stuccoed entablature and pediment. The outer bays are slightly set back and are blank, with quoins made of paler brick. There is a band at the cills of the first-floor windows. The first-floor windows are tall and round-arched, with margin lights and moulded architraves. The ground floor windows have eared architraves. The central door is framed by a moulded architrave and a cornice supported by console brackets with dentils. The plain five-bay returns also have tall, round-arched first-floor windows.
