Description
The Chapel is an early 19th-century former chapel located on Chapel Hill. It is constructed of stone rubble with an ashlar front and has two storeys. The gable at the front creates a pediment that features a frieze, cornice, and dentils. There is a string course between the storeys. The upper storey has three long round-headed windows with glazing bars, and the heads of these windows have Gothick glazing bars. The door is positioned on the left side of the front and is accessed by steps that have been significantly altered and reduced. The door's jambs and a slender lintel are panelled, and above the lintel is a semi-circular fanlight with tracery. A simple cornice is located above the fanlight. In the middle of the ground storey front, there is one rectangular window with a flat arch head, and there may be another window that is now obscured by added wooden sheds.
