Description

High Corn Mill is a Grade II listed structure consisting of two buildings that span the Eller Beck, built over a single arch. The upper building has an L-shaped plan, with one block extending up Chapel Hill. The third storey of this upper section, which crosses the stream, was originally open with a roof supported by stone piers, but these are now bricked up. The windows have been significantly altered. The mill likely dates from the 18th century. Notably, the original machinery is intact and in working order, with part of the site functioning as an industrial museum while still operating as a corn mill.
