the address shall be amended to read "Nos. 6-8 (even)".

------------------------------------ The following building shall be added: GREAT EASTERN STREET TQ 3382 788-1/8/10005 No 8 II

Warehouse and offices, c.1882. Red brick with stone dressings. Roof parapetted. 5 storeys, on a flat-iron site with curved corner of 2-window range, 6-window range to Great Eastern Street and 6-window range to return. Attached giant pilasters articulated tint through fourth floors of curved ranges and pair of ranges returning from that. Windows grouped under two-storey architraves, the second and fourth floor windows being round- arched. Entablature to ground floor and to second floor. Projecting cornice to articulated ranges. Elevations at far ends step down to four storeys and adopt a more utilitarian style: a simple buck pier system on rear, enriched by stone aedicules to Great Eastern Street. The stone detail of higher quality than the mass-produced ornament found on nearby warehouses of the same date. Curved corner has strong townscape value which has not been compromised by alterations to the ground floor or insertion of new windows.
