Description
No 16 Wharf Road is a mid-19th century factory building that stands two storeys tall with an attic and features three large windows. The structure is constructed of stock brick and has a slated roof with a half-hipped gable end facing the road. A stone eaves cornice runs along the top, complemented by a stone band at the first floor and a narrower cill band, which is flanked by three long stepped stone quoins.
On the left side, there is a wagon entrance beneath a segmental arch that has a stone drip mould and a triple keystone that rises to the first floor band. To the right, a smaller entrance with a stone cornice includes a round window to the left, while the attic features a round window as well. The first-floor windows have segmental heads, and the ground-floor windows are flat arched, both fitted with metal bars and margin lights. A small later door has been inserted in the center.
