Description

Number 6, known as Lee House, and Number 6A are early 19th century villas located on Rectory Road in N16. They are both two storeys tall with a basement and feature three windows. The buildings are constructed of stock brick and have low pitched slated roofs with eaves soffits. The central bay of Number 6 is slightly recessed, and the first floor is finished with stucco. Both floors have cill bands, and the sash windows are topped with gauged flat brick arches set in stucco lined reveals. The ground floor windows are situated in round arched recesses. The entrance features a double door that is now flush, accompanied by a patterned segmental fanlight, all within a slightly altered Ionic porch. To the right of the door, there is a glazed basement projection.

Number 6A is attached to Number 6 and also has two storeys and a basement. It has one window in the flush right bay and another in the set-back left entrance bay. This building is similarly made of stock brick and has a low pitched hipped slate roof with eaves soffits. It features stucco cill bands on both floors and gauged flat brick arches above modern casement windows and a later sash window in a round arched recess on the ground floor. There are four steps leading up to a 19th century half-glazed door set back behind a round-arched entrance.

Numbers 6, 6A, 8, and 10 form a group with Numbers 2, 4, 12, 12A, 14, and 14A, which are of local interest.
