Description
The Amhurst Arms Public House is a mid-19th century building that stands two storeys high with an attic and features three windows. The exterior is finished in stucco, adorned with a frieze, cornice, and a blocking course. On the first floor, there are Doric angle pilasters and four Ionic pilasters that separate the window bays. The sash windows are set in moulded architraves, each with cornices above, and the central window is topped with a pediment. The ground floor has narrow bays divided by Corinthian pilasters that support a fascia and cornice. Although the glazing has been renewed, the panelled stall risers are original. The building has a slated mansard roof with three segment-headed dormers and includes a one-storey short extension on the right with a canted angle.
