Description
Shield House is a late 18th-century building, altered subsequently. It originally formed part of the Port of London Authority's Cutler Street Warehouses. The building is six storeys high, with a later addition at the top. It is constructed of pinkish-yellow brick with slight Portland stone dressings. Windows have flat and segmental arches. The centre of the building is recessed, featuring a modern entrance and stucco to the ground storey, along with an archway beneath the left-hand wing. A band runs below the fourth storey, and a parapet tops the slated roof.
